Glendalough
Glendalough is an inner northern suburb in the City of Stirling, about 6 kilometres from Perth’s CBD along the Mitchell Freeway corridor. The name is Irish in origin, meaning “valley of the lakes,” chosen for the suburb’s position between Lake Monger and Herdsman Lake. A crown grant for the area was made in 1837, and the land was later transferred to Bishop Gibney in 1887 and leased to market gardeners. In 1949, the State Housing Commission purchased part of Glendalough to build post-war housing, making it one of the Commission’s earliest metropolitan developments. Glendalough railway station on the Joondalup line provides direct access to the CBD. The suburb is characterised by older post-war housing interspersed with 1970s unit developments, and bathrooms across this housing stock have had decades to develop grout staining, silicone failure, and the structural leaks that follow. The Grout Guy services Glendalough with tile regrouting, leaking shower repair, silicone replacement, and tile and grout sealing. Fixed pricing. No tile removal. A 10-Year Waterproof Warranty on complete regrouts. Get in touch today for a Glendalough quote.
