Gooseberry Hill
Gooseberry Hill is a scenic suburb in the City of Kalamunda, perched on the Darling Scarp and officially gazetted in 1959. The name comes from cape gooseberries that grew across the hillside, first noted by surveyor Henry Samuel Ranford in 1878. The suburb is home to Gooseberry Hill National Park, 33 hectares of remnant jarrah-marri forest conserving one of the most intact eucalypt woodlands on the escarpment. The area also encompasses part of the historic Kalamunda Zig Zag railway formation, completed in 1891 by the Canning Jarrah Timber Company to haul sleepers for Perth’s expanding railway network, and the nearby Statham’s Quarry, which supplied much of the stone used for Perth street paving at the turn of the twentieth century. Properties in Gooseberry Hill are predominantly older homes on generous hillside blocks, with bathrooms that may not have seen professional restoration in many years. Grout cracks and stains over time, silicone eventually fails, and water damage behind tiles can become significant before it is noticed. The Grout Guy services Gooseberry Hill with tile regrouting, leaking shower repair, silicone replacement, and tile and grout sealing. Fixed pricing. No tile removal. A 10-Year Waterproof Warranty on full regrouts. Get in touch today for a Gooseberry Hill quote.
