Mandogalup
Mandogalup is an outer southern suburb in the City of Kwinana, south of Perth, with a history that stretches back to the early twentieth century Group Settlement era. Originally known as 7 Mile Camp, the area was declared a townsite in 1923 under the name Balmanup, before being renamed Mandogalup in 1945 to reflect the name already in common local use. The early settlement grew in the 1920s as part of the Peel Settlement Scheme but was largely deserted after the scheme’s failure during the 1930s depression. A heritage granite boulder on Mandogalup Road marks the former site of the Mandogalup Hall, constructed in the 1920s and the focal point of that early community. Today one of the suburb’s most prominent landmarks is the Bala Murugan Temple, a significant place of worship for Western Australia’s Tamil Hindu community. Modern residential development, including the Florence estate by Satterley, has brought new housing to the locality. In both older semi-rural properties and newer builds, bathroom grout and silicone require regular professional maintenance in Perth’s hard water environment. The Grout Guy services Mandogalup with tile regrouting, leaking shower repair, silicone replacement, and tile and grout sealing. Fixed pricing. No tile removal. A 10-Year Waterproof Warranty on full regrouts. Get in touch today for a Mandogalup quote.
