Sinagra
Sinagra is a residential suburb in Perth’s northern corridor, within the City of Wanneroo about 26 kilometres from the CBD. The suburb is named after the Sinagra family, Italian migrants who arrived in the Wanneroo area in the 1920s and became prominent local citizens. The City of Wanneroo later established a sister-city relationship with Sinagra in Sicily, acknowledging the significant number of Sicilian families who settled in the district and shaped its early character. The suburb name was gazetted in 1995. Sinagra sits overlooking Lake Joondalup and the Yellagonga Regional Park, and many homes in the suburb have views across the lake and wetlands. The nearby Wanneroo town centre, about two kilometres south-west, provides shopping, dining and community services, while Joondalup city centre is accessible within about seven kilometres. With a median age of 31 and an average household size of 2.9, Sinagra skews young and family-oriented. Modern homes dominate, built through the late 1990s and 2000s as the northern corridor expanded rapidly. Even relatively new homes develop grout and silicone issues, particularly in high-traffic bathrooms and ensuites. Water getting behind tiles in a newer home can cause structural damage before it becomes visible. The Grout Guy provides tile regrouting, leaking shower repairs, silicone replacement and tile and grout sealing across Sinagra. Complete regrouts include a 10-Year Waterproof Warranty.
