One Tree Hill
One Tree Hill is a rural suburb in the City of Playford, approximately 31 kilometres north-east of Adelaide’s CBD. The township takes its name from the One Tree Hill Inn, licensed in 1851, which itself was named after a giant red gum tree that stood at the intersection of Black Top Road and Walters Road. The original tree burnt in 1890 and was finally cut down in 1934, replaced by five trees that still stand today. Historic buildings including the Institute Hall (1906), the Uniting Church (originally Methodist, built 1867), and several preserved early school buildings reflect the township’s deep colonial heritage. A small shopping centre and the Blacksmiths Inn hotel serve the local community of around 1,095 residents in a landscape of rolling hills and scenic rural surroundings. Rural and semi-rural homes in One Tree Hill carry bathrooms that in many cases have not received professional maintenance for years, and grout deterioration and silicone failure in shower recesses are common. The Grout Guy travels to One Tree Hill for tile regrouting, leaking shower repair, silicone replacement, and tile and grout sealing. A complete regrout is backed by The Grout Guy’s 10-Year Waterproof Warranty. Contact The Grout Guy for a free quote today.
