Bibra Lake
Bibra Lake is a suburb within the City of Cockburn, about 18 kilometres south of Perth’s CBD. The suburb takes its name from the lake at its centre, which was first recorded by Europeans during a survey in 1842 under its Aboriginal name, Walubup. In 1843, a carpenter named Benedict Von Bibra selected 320 acres of land fringing the lake, and the lake has carried his name ever since. The area has a long agricultural history: throughout the 1800s, Bibra Lake was known as a local hub for wheat and oat crops, dairy farming, market gardening, and viticulture. By the late 20th century, the suburb transformed into a mixed residential and commercial area, and today it is home to Adventure World theme park, the Cockburn Ice Arena, and the mature Norfolk Island Pine trees along the foreshore, which have stood since around 1900 and carry heritage significance. According to Wikipedia, rapid residential growth from the 1980s onwards expanded the suburb significantly. Homes from this era are now 35 to 45 years old, and bathrooms that were installed during construction have typically reached the end of their effective waterproof life. Grout cracks, silicone separates, and shower leaks cause hidden damage that compounds over time. The Grout Guy services Bibra Lake and the City of Cockburn, repairing these problems from the surface without pulling out a tile. Pricing is transparent and fixed, and a complete shower regrout carries a 10-Year Waterproof Warranty. Call for an obligation-free quote in Bibra Lake.
