Joondanna
Joondanna is an established northern suburb in the City of Stirling, around 5 kilometres north of Perth’s CBD. Originally called Joondanna Heights, it was the first declared township in the Perth Road District, with boundaries established by Government Gazette on 17 November 1939. The name is believed to derive from a farm owned by early settler Mark Banks in what is now Osborne Park, and was shortened to Joondanna in 1954. The suburb holds significance as one of Perth’s first northern post-war residential communities, developed from the late 1940s. St Denis Church, designed by Ernest Rossen and completed in 1967 for the Servite Fathers, is an architecturally notable example of late twentieth century church design, distinguished by its sculptural forms and dramatic interior lighting on rough-finished walls. Albert James Park and the water tower reserve on Roberts Street provide community open space. Homes in Joondanna are predominantly post-war and 1950s-era builds, with bathrooms from these decades often showing decades of accumulated grout deterioration and silicone failure. The Grout Guy services Joondanna with tile regrouting, leaking shower repair, silicone replacement, and tile and grout sealing. Fixed pricing. No tile removal. A 10-Year Waterproof Warranty on full regrouts. Book a Joondanna quote today.
