Kallaroo
Kallaroo is a northern Perth suburb in the City of Joondalup, one of the four “Whitfords” suburbs created from the Western Australian Government’s 1969 coastal rezoning. The name was adopted in 1970 and is an Aboriginal word meaning “road to the water,” an apt description for a suburb that backs onto the Indian Ocean coast. The western section of Kallaroo, known as Northshore, was developed during the mid to late 1980s as part of a planned housing estate of the same name. Street names throughout Kallaroo are predominantly taken from Western Australian shipwrecks, including the famous Batavia, giving the suburb an unusual and distinctive geographic identity. Springfield Primary School, established in 1972, served the community from its earliest days, and St Marks Anglican Community School and Whitfords railway station provide further education and transport infrastructure. Most homes in Kallaroo date from the 1970s through to the 1980s, and bathrooms from this period show the expected grout staining, silicone deterioration, and the occasional slow leak behind tiles. The Grout Guy services Kallaroo with tile regrouting, leaking shower repair, silicone replacement, and tile and grout sealing. Fixed pricing. No tile removal. A 10-Year Waterproof Warranty on full regrouts. Get in touch today for a Kallaroo quote.
