Kelmscott
Kelmscott is one of the Swan River Colony’s original four townsites, established in the City of Armadale and named after Kelmscott, Oxfordshire, the birthplace of the colony’s first Anglican clergyman, Thomas Hobbes Scott. The town served as a stopover along the early track from Perth to Albany, and in 1836 the King George’s Sound Road was extended south from Kelmscott. In 1856, Henry Gibb and Thomas Saw established an inn that holds one of Western Australia’s oldest liquor trading licences. Kelmscott Primary School, established in 1882, is one of the state’s oldest primary schools, and the Kelmscott Agricultural Show has run annually since 1897. The Canning River, which passes through the area, offers fishing, kayaking, and walking along Roley Pool Reserve on its banks. With homes spanning from the colonial era through to modern residential builds, Kelmscott bathrooms reflect a wide range of ages and conditions. In older homes, grout has had generations to deteriorate, and silicone failure in heritage properties can cause significant water damage. The Grout Guy services Kelmscott with tile regrouting, leaking shower repair, silicone replacement, and tile and grout sealing. Fixed pricing. No tile removal. A 10-Year Waterproof Warranty on complete regrouts. Contact The Grout Guy today for a Kelmscott quote.
