Menora
Menora is a residential suburb in the City of Stirling, around 6 kilometres northeast of Perth’s CBD. Land in the area was first granted to Charles Bourne in 1840, and the suburb was formally named in 1954 after a theatre that had operated within its borders. The name itself means seven-branched candelabra in Hebrew, a reference that became quietly literal: the road layout of the suburb, when viewed from above, is shaped loosely like a menorah. Menora has a significant Jewish community, and the Perth Hebrew Congregation’s synagogue on Plantation Street, which opened in 1973, is one of the suburb’s most recognisable buildings. The suburb has a garden character, with established street trees, well-kept homes, and a settled, close-knit residential feel. Homes in Menora were built predominantly from the 1950s through to the 1970s, and bathrooms of that vintage commonly carry decades of stained grout, hardened silicone, and the slow water damage that follows when shower enclosures are not professionally restored. The Grout Guy services Menora with tile regrouting, leaking shower repair, silicone replacement, and tile and grout sealing. Fixed pricing. No tile removal. A 10-Year Waterproof Warranty on full regrouts. Contact The Grout Guy today for a Menora quote.
