Trigg
Trigg is a small, tightly held coastal suburb in the City of Stirling, about 12 kilometres north of the Perth CBD along the Indian Ocean. The suburb was named after Henry Trigg, Superintendent of Public Works for the Swan River Colony. Land at Trigg was first taken up in 1877, and by the 1920s fishing shacks and holiday cottages had begun to appear along the beach. Serious residential development came in the late 1940s, with streets named after former residents and local pioneers. Trigg Beach is one of the most popular in Western Australia, well regarded for its reliable surf and the natural setting provided by the Trigg Bushland Reserve, a three-hectare corridor of remnant coastal vegetation running through the centre of the suburb. Before European settlement, Nyoongar people built fish traps at Trigg Beach using rocks and branches, working the tidal zone in a way that speaks to thousands of years of knowledge of this coastline. Trigg Island, a rocky reef formation off the beach, is a focal point for fishers and snorkellers. The suburb has a relaxed, coastal character with a mix of long-term residents and buyers who have targeted it for its natural amenity and proximity to the city. Salt air and coastal humidity take a significant toll on bathroom tiling, grout and silicone. The Grout Guy provides tile regrouting, leaking shower repairs, silicone replacement and tile and grout sealing across Trigg. Complete regrouts include a 10-Year Waterproof Warranty.
